“I am deeply saddened at the news of Noel Bridgeman’s passing. In the 80’s and 90’s Noel was crucial in bringing our recordings to life with his playing and singing. Not only was he an amazing drummer/percussionist but he had the voice of an angel! He made us laugh travelling many a road on tour from 1986 to 1996 and taught me so much about life. Condolences to his wife Olivia and family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.”

Tour going ahead
Hello dear friends,
I’m delighted to hear the news about the full reopening of theatres and events here in Ireland on the 22nd of October!
These have been tough and lean times for over 35,000 people who make their living from this sector.
Three times over the past 18 months our tour has been rescheduled but at last we’ve been given the green light and our tour is starting in Navan on October 22nd.
Our Olympia Theatre gig has been pushed back to October 31st and we’re working on rescheduling our Cork Opera House concert.
All details of our tour can be found on the concerts page of this site.
I’m so looking forward to getting back out there and seeing you all soon.
Love,
Mary x
John Prine remembrance concert 'Souvenirs'
John Prine remembrance concert 'Souvenirs'
Mary will be part of the John Prine remembrance concert 'Souvenirs' on October 4th and is looking forward to this very special night.
This is a much-anticipated charity gig in remembrance of the late John Prine which will be live streamed from The Mick Lally Theatre in Galway on October 4th from 7.30pm. Those performing on the night include Mary Black, Paul Brady, Sharon Shannon, Tommy Prine, Little John Nee and Declan O’Rourke - with John’s long-time friend and supporter John Creedon acting as MC.
The concert will be available to view on demand from 7th to 10th October and will be broadcast on RTÉ Radio One in the near future.
Net proceeds from the Live Stream / On-Demand event will benefit DORAS, an independent, non-profit, NGO working to promote and protect the rights of people from a migrant and refugee background in Ireland. The second chosen charity is Druid - Ireland’s leading theatre touring company.
Full information can be found in the Hot Press article about the concert.
