"As some of you may now we’ve had to reschedule a concert that was planned for Holland later this year. I am happy to say that this concert will now take place at the beautiful Vredenburg Theatre in Utrecht.

I did my Last Call Tour in Europe in 2015 and I planned that as my final tour. However, I had an idea to go to The Netherlands for a weekend and do one special concert. I noticed on my last tour of Ireland that people were coming from many places around Europe to my gigs - a trip to The Netherlands might be an easier option for some people travelling.

The date will be Saturday February 24th 2018 and we are planning to have a meet and greet after the show - I look forward to seeing many of my friends at this special concert, Mary"

As the number of available free tickets for the meet and greet will be limited, you must be able to send proof of purchase of a ticket for the Utrecht concert. As you may know, Mary Black will be performing for a special one-off concert in Utrecht (The Netherlands) on Saturday 24 February 2018. Afterwards, there will be a special backstage meet and greet where you can talk to Mary, other fans and probably some band members. Registration for this meet and greet is now open. The response for the meet and greet has been immense and we reached the maximum number of participants in a day. If you are interested, you can still contact us and we will put you on a reserve list. If anyone cancels or we are able to increase the number of participants, we will use this reserve list.

Those who can attend this meet and greet will be asked to create a set list for what they would perceive as their perfect Mary Black concert. We will combine the set lists of all attendees which Mary has agreed to use as inspiration for that concert's actual set list.

We have arranged a deal with a hotel near the venue for those fans who need or want to stay overnight after the special concert in Utrecht. You don't need to take part in the meet and greet to make use of this deal. All details regarding this hotel deal can be found on the meet and greet page.

The 30th anniversary edition CD and digital release will also contain a couple of bonus tracks:

• A remixed version of "Moon River".
• A remixed version of "Copper Kettle", which was previously only available as a b-side on the vinyl "Once In A Very Blue Moon" single.
• "Wounded Heart", a newly recorded song for this release.

The 30th anniversary edition of By The Time It Gets Dark will be released on 17 March.

For the first time in three decades The Black Family - Shay, Michael, Mary, Martin and Frances are returning for a very special reunion in Ireland. Their unique vocal sound was first heard by the nation on the Late, Late Show back in 1986 and is still remembered as something very special to this day. These rare performances from this legendary Irish family are not to be missed.

On June 12th, Mary Black returns to Belgium for the first time in three years to headline Tradfest 2017 (at Studio 4 in Brussels). "I'm really looking forward to playing Tradfest at this beautiful venue" says Mary.

Had a fall on Wednesday and fractured my kneecap. With the help of a high stool and some pain killers I managed to do the gig in Limerick last night to a great crowd. So happy I didn't have to cancel. One more tonight in Ennis and then I can rest my leg. The show must go on 😀

I am desperately sad to hear of the death of my dear friend Vonny Grabowsky over the weekend. She had such a passion for music and life and lived for her family especially her two daughters Silke and Merje and her beloved grandson Etienne. She will be missed by so many especially the Mary Black band and crew who loved to see Vonny's smiling face. May she rest peacefully.
