Mary Black: Stories from the Steeples
The purity of Mary Black's voice was once a standard measure for top-end hi-fi. Her first album in six years features grown-up story songs. Imelda May and Janis Ian are among the guest vocalists, and while it's as carefully produced as the finest confectionary, there are no soft centers to this album.
